Royal Cornwall Museum

Through a three-phase programme of work, Polly led the client and design team in preparing a masterplan scoping study, and an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund in September 2008.

Located in Truro, the Royal Cornwall Museum is perfectly positioned to tell the story of Cornwall, signpost other museums, provide a forum for debate, and act as a nucleus for both local people and visitors to the region. In 2007, the Museum sought to create a new vision for its future. Through a three-phase programme of work, Polly led the client and design team in preparing a masterplan scoping study, and an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund in September 2008.

The role included reviewing the collections; developing a framework for a museum re-display; assessing the back of house requirements; identifying how to deliver additional public resources including a re-located library and learning suite; developing options; undertaking a preliminary options appraisal and drafting the final HLF submission.
